Basic Tips for Beginners
This is a list of best practices as an aid to new members, and a refresher for the rest of us. We are a clan and how well we coordinate makes us stronger, which includes welcoming new members and making their experiences simpler and more enjoyable. These tips will be added to and modified from time to time.
1. Pay your taxes regularly (when you log in and when you log off). Click on your Capitol, and pay all gold ingots. Reason? An enemy who scouts you is looking for gold, and if you have none, you’re less likely to be a target.
2. Put your forces in the fort just before you log off – this also makes your city less of a target. Enemy players will attack to increase their experience points. Deny them.
3. Check the Clan button regularly. When you see a help request, the best practice is to click on each request individually, and *never* click “help all”. The system records each help and expands our borders based on that. Our borders are maintained by the amount of cooperation.
4. In order to increase the help opportunities, when you start construction or upgrade a building, train troops, craft something, etc., click on the green help button. This puts out a request to the rest of the clan. Allow time for others to help you before you accelerate it to completion.
5. Join tournaments whenever possible – this is the best and quickest way to level up your champion and captains. These will be announced from time to time in the main Clan Chat. For those who are organizing them, please set a reasonable assembly time (i.e. 10 minutes).
6. If you are not in the clan territory, you may have a free city transporter – click on a square in the clan territory, select “Teleport” and then “City Teleporter”. Welcome home!
7. Do your research, explore the game, and don’t hesitate to ask us on the main chat when you’re stumped.
8. Submit any suggestions for other tips on the main Clan Chat.
